More Workers Needed to Fill 6.2 Million Jobs in the USA

As the U.S. economy steadily grows, there is an increasing demand for skilled American workers.

A recent increase in U.S. job openings and a 16-year low unemployment rate shows that employers need workers from a shrinking pool of qualified candidates. USAFIS continues to help thousands of people from countries all around the world to find a new life in America.

Employers are finding it difficult to hire workers for various positions, which some economists believe will slow the current pace of hiring. Payrolls have increased more in the first quarter of 2017 than analysts forecast as many Americans have decided to join the workforce, and most of them have found jobs.

The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) report showed that more people are hanging onto their jobs. The report is a measure of people’s desire to quit their jobs because they believe they can find a higher paying position.

With more workers keeping their jobs, it could signal that much-needed wage growth in the U.S. will take some time to materialize. Labor market slack is something Fed chair Janet Yellen watches closely. You can contact USAFIS today if you are interested in moving to the United States.
